Många undrar var jag läste om strejken den 5 juni i grekisk media? Tyvärr har jag letat idag och hittar det inte, kan ha varit ”TA NEA” eller ”SKAI”, men är inte helt säkert. Det finns dock mycket material om strejker och att det inte är slutstrejkat är ett som är säkert. Som någon uttryckte sig när en journalist undrade om de inte är rädda om turistindustrin ”en besökare är inte detsamma som en förlorad lön för en grekisk arbetare”.
Har också noterat att ”Easytravelreport” har lagt in ett perheps och ett maybe framför den utlysta strejken den 5 juni, detta ”perheps och maybe” fanns inte tidigare, intressant?

Blir det strejk den 5 juni?
The government’s pension bill is expected to be passed by parliament in early June. The bill proposes to slash the value of pensions, raise the retirement age and remove the entitlements of thousands of workers who currently receive them.
“If the pension bill is left unchanged, we will certainly protest in June. And if the government takes more harmful measures, the summer will also be a period of labour action” (wsws.org).

During yesterday’s action ( 20 May), international flights departing Athens functioned normally as the majority of civil aviation unions opposed the strike. A spokesman for the air traffic controllers union said they were boycotting the general strike as, “We don’t want to cause any damage to the tourism industry” (wsws.org).
