Måste erkänna att jag inte ens visste att det fanns hotell i Tavronitis
Tavronitis är en liten genomfartsort med några få caféer och tavernor. Om de inte gjort något åt stranden de senaste åren bör det vara grov sten (heter det klappersten) och ganska djupt i havet på sina ställen.
På nätet hittar jag: "Tavronitis Chania: Tavronitis beach belongs to the traditional Cretan farming village Tavronitis set on the northern coast of Crete. The bay of Tavronitis has a clean pebbly beach, where you can enjoy the sun sitting under the umbrellas and sun beds.
Being not much tourist developed, the long beach is generally secluded and vacant with only a couple of beachfront taverns where you can rent amenities.
Anyone can enjoy playing in the shallow pebble floored waters with a beautiful view of the bare mountains of the Kissamos peninsula stretching northwards on the left of the beach. Hotell Adelais skriver på sin sida att Tavronitis är en "välkänd by med stort utbud" - Glöm det! Byn är för en stillsam semester och jag är rätt säker på att hotellbaren erbjuder det enda i nöjesväg ni kan förvänta er.
