We all mourn for the losses, but soon our land's fertile ground and its rich waters will start healing the wounds. Our help, our care and our love is now demanded, so that we speed this process.
The inevitable focus that the incident attracted negative advertisement and created the (wrong) feeling that the island is burned to the ground. Reality is that the recent fires, affected around 1000 acres (2% of the island), most of which were covered with bushes.
Samos is still a really green island, with a lot of natural beauties, many sightseeing spots, numerous beaches, the cleanest of seas and very friendly people, who are always willing to help you.
