Satser på at engelskkunnskapene blant folk er bra, for jeg har ikke tid til å oversette denne artikkelen fra dailyfrappe.com
Men dette må jo gjøre ruinbesøkene til en mye større opplevelse:

ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES GO HIGH TECH

Ever wonder what you're looking at when visiting historical sites in Greece? If you're like us, the temples and ruins that dot the country look familiar, but the history behind them may not be so clear.

This year however, when you visit 15 different large sites in Greece you will be able to rent a small portable touchscreen --about the size and weight of a personal stereo. Weighing just 270 grams, or 9.5 ounces it will offer high-resolution video, detailed diagrams of sites such as ancient temples, position indicators, and imagery along with stereo sound. Better yet, it will have instructions in four languages; Greek, English, German and French.

The first of these gadgets will is being tested in Thessaloniki and at Mycenae. The rest will be distributed in the other 13 locations by mid summer 2008. The cost for assembling and programming 5,000 units came to €9.5 million.

Another added feature to 18 sites this summer will be automated ticketing, which will help cut down wait times.
